You and the Bay

Our roads, lawns, septic systems, farm land, golf courses and construction sites change how water flows and what flows in it. We can all help ensure that clean water flows into Peconic Bay. Learn what others are doing and what you can do to protect the Peconic.

Jacqui Lofaro is a documentary filmmaker who has written and produced several environmental films about Long Island. More recently she has produced several documentaries related to social justice topics. Currently, she is on the Southampton Town Planning Board, a citizen board which reviews land use development for subdivisions, site plans and special exemption applications. She served on the committee for the Town of Southampton Master Plan and was active in the Group for the South Fork and the League of Women Voters.

Every month we will feature a local community member who has helped protect the Peconic. Let us know how you or someone you know has helped the bay.
